From the 1st through the 30th of July I´m at LISA Artist in Residency program in Tjørnuvik, a small town at the north of the Feroe Islands.
It´s been my dream for a few years now to be able to spend at least a month painting in such a different environment to where I come from.
I imagined I was going to work on my abstract work, but when I got here, and started to work, I felt differently. I had the need to work like I used to, and sense the stories folded into this land.
I felt like listening to the stories that came to me and this is what I have mainly worked on. Keeping a diary and painting most of the time, and fitting some hikes in to breathe the fresh air.
